Routine appointments

You can book a routine appointment with a GP for general health concerns or ongoing conditions.

When to book a routine appointment

Routine appointments are for things like:

  • Discussing ongoing health conditions, like diabetes or asthma
  • New health problems that are not urgent
  • Medication reviews
  • General health advice

How to book your appointment

You can book a routine appointment in the following ways:

Book online (quickest method)

This is the quickest way to book a routine appointment. You have two online options:

  • Send an
    Online request
  • Book online using your
    NHS app

If you use our Online request, you will need to:

  1. Select “I have a health problem”
  2. Enter your patient details
  3. Describe your symptoms or the reason for the appointment.
  4. Add anything else you want to tell the practice.

Book in person

Visit the practice and speak to the reception team

Preparing for your appointment

Routine appointments are normally 10 minutes long.

If you have multiple problems to discuss or feel you need more time, please let us know when you book.

If you can no longer attend

Tell us as soon as possible if you cannot attend.
